Henry C. Clarke, Jr.
Of Counsel
Henry Clarke, Jr. serves as Of Counsel Attorney to Willow Legal Group, bringing over four decades of legal experience and a thoughtful, compassionate approach to estate planning. Throughout his distinguished career, Henry has worked in nearly every corner of the legal profession — but it was a conscious decision many years ago that set the course for the work he loves today.
Early in his career, Henry realized that a life spent in litigation and contentious situations wasn’t the right fit for him. Instead, he chose to focus on counseling clients and their families, both in preparation for life’s transitions and in navigating the aftermath of loss. That decision led him to estate planning, where he could provide peace of mind, clarity, and care for generations of families.
Henry’s professional journey includes roles as an Assistant County Attorney for Montgomery County, partner in several private firms, and owner of his own practice, Henry C. Clarke, Jr. P.A. He also spent over three decades as a partner and part owner in multiple title companies, further broadening his legal and business expertise.
While Henry enjoys all aspects of estate planning, he has a personal connection to special needs planning, having a brother with profound special needs. He brings a thoughtful, empathetic perspective to families facing unique challenges.
One piece of advice Henry often shares with clients is both practical and profound: “Let’s think carefully about your estate plan, as its documents may be the last message you convey to your family.”
Outside of his legal work, Henry enjoys home improvement projects, hobbies, reading, occasional golf, and time with his family. He considers the chains of lakes on the Minnesota-Canadian border one of the most peaceful places on earth — and possibly a glimpse of heaven.
A favorite quote that guides him: “The only thing over which you really have true control is your attitude.”
What Henry values most about being part of Willow Legal Group is working alongside good people who share his values, both professionally and personally. And if you ask him what he can’t live without? It’s an easy answer: his wife, children, and grandchildren.
